At the recent Fall ABA Board meeting, the ABA Board agreed to create two new councils, in celebration of ABA members' business and cultural diversity: the Asian Motorcoach Council and the School Bus Council.
Like ABA's Hispanic Motorcoach Council, it is hoped that the Asian Motorcoach Council will provide a forum and opportunity for Asian operators, and those doing business with them, to meet and discuss issues impacting the industry and operators. There is no charge to participate and the Council will be open to all.
ABA's motorcoach operators are continually broadening their fleets. In an analysis of ABA motorcoach operator members, our current members operate between 10,000-15,000 school buses. The School Bus Council provides an opportunity for these members to meet and discuss the unique business and operational issues facing school bus operators, including Department of Transportation-related issues as well as state and local issues that are unique to school bus operations.
ABA will hold the inaugural meetings of these two new Councils at ABA’s Annual Meeting & Marketplace in Charlotte this January.
The Asian Motorcoach Council meeting will be held Sunday, Jan. 28 from 3-5 p.m in Room 216A.
The School Bus Council meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 29 from 3-5 p.m in Room 211A.
All are welcome to attend these meetings.
