ABA celebrated the 30th anniversary of the association’s Certified Travel Industry Specialist (CTIS) program during its Marketplace in Louisville, Ky.
Thirty years ago, ABA recognized a need within the Travel and Tour industry and teamed up with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) to provide its members with a correspondence course that helped introduce them to new concepts in the industry and expand their professional and personal skills.
Since its inception, 821 members have successful completed the program.
“ABA believes in the value of professional, continuing education,” said ABA President & CEO Peter Pantuso. “Our CTIS program was the first industry university sponsored certification program offered and we are proud of our more than 800 graduates who see the value we can provide to their professional growth.”
During the celebration, ABA welcomed the Class of 2019 CTIS graduates.
