PA: Coronavirus Robs Bus Companies of Commuters, Forcing Shutdown, Severing Links to New York, Philadelphia

“There’s very little left remaining operational right now. Every segment of the industry is almost completely shut down,” said Peter Pantuso, executive director of the American Bus Association.

Generally speaking, bus companies fall into three categories: commuter service outside the region; fixed-route service between cities and regions; and charter and tour buses, Pantuso explained. All three are categories are doing badly right now.
