Mary Ellen Wyrick joined ABA in April 2019 as the Meetings & Events Coordinator. Mary Ellen's primary role is to provide the best customer service to members attending ABA events.
Mary Ellen's vast knowledge of meetings & events has been fortified by working in several aspects of the travel and tourism industry, including working for major hotel chains in locations from city hotels, resorts, and a convention center. She also has experience in sponsorships, annual tradeshow logistics, advertising, and national partnerships.
Sliding around the industry desk to a nationally recognized event signage company, I served as a Strategic Account Manager/Team Leader. My team partnered with meeting management companies to enhance the branding of their clients' events.
Returning to the association side, she is excited to be part of the motorcoach and group travel industry.
Mary Ellen's professional development includes 25+ years as a member of Meeting Professionals International where her service included serving as the Indiana chapter president and being selected as a charter member of MPI’s International Membership Committee. Other memberships have included PMPI, NACE, SGMP, PCMA, ASAE, AMPs, RCMA and Rotary International.
