Intermodal Grants | American Bus Association

Intermodal Grants

Thirty-five million dollars per year is allocated for the program, beginning with fiscal year 2005 funding, but the program won’t be in place until 2006 (FY 2005 funds could be applied for once the program regulations and grant conditions are in place as we understand it at this point) and running through FY 2009.

How do I apply?

The Federal Transit Administration will administer the funding program. ABA will provide more information, when it becomes available.

Where can I read more about it?

More information on the intermodal facilities funding can be found in Title III, Section 3011 of SAFETEA-LU (HR 3). It is also anticipated that the Federal Transit Administration will post information on their website www.fta.dot.gov sometime this year.

The American Bus Association serves a thriving industry that provides nearly 600 million passenger trips annually on charters, tours, scheduled service, and shuttles. Membership in ABA includes motorcoach operators, tour operators, tourism-related organizations, and products and service suppliers.
