Sensitivity Training for Bus Operators

Virtual Workshop | August 27 | 11 a.m. Eastern

This four-hour virtual workshop aims to educate bus operators on appropriate behavior and communication with people with disabilities. The workshop covers various topics, including assisting difficult customers, driver assistance and the ADA, service animals, effective communication, and disability awareness and sensitivity. It is appropriate for both fixed-route and demand-responsive bus operators.

Workshop Modules Include:

  • Module 1: Assisting Difficult Customers
  • Module 2: Operator Assistance and the ADA
  • Module 3: Service Animals
  • Module 4: Effective Communication
  • Module 5: Disability Awareness and Sensitivity

Anyone can sign up for our public virtual workshops. Organizations may register as many staff as they would like. Participants must have individual registrations to participate.

NOTE: A minimum of 10 registrants is required. If we have not reached 10 registrants by one week before the workshop, it will be canceled, and you will receive a refund for your registration fee. Workshop registration will be capped at 30 participants. Payment must be made by credit card. No refunds or make-up sessions will be offered for those that miss sessions. You will not receive a completion certificate unless you participate in the entire workshop.
