Lewis, a native of Durham, North Carolina, is the ABA Foundation’s Director of Research, Policy, and Impact. His focus is on expanding the impact and reach of the ABA Foundation, ABA’s philanthropic arm. He leads the Foundation’s research initiatives, secures funding through grants, sponsorships, and donations, and communicates the Foundation’s impact across media channels and among key stakeholders. Additionally, Lewis works closely with the ABA Government Relations team to support the organization’s policy agenda through targeted outreach, educational briefings, and strategic advocacy campaigns.

Lewis has been a dedicated presence on Capitol Hill since 2012. He graduated from Hampton University, earning both his undergraduate degree and MBA. While at Hampton, Lewis excelled as a men’s golf team walk-on member and joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. His career on Capitol Hill began in the U.S. Senate with Senator Joe Manchin. Over the years, Lewis has expanded his expertise and influence through various roles under prominent figures such as Marcia Fudge, Norma Torres, Stacey Plaskett, and Tony Cardenas. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in Lisa Blunt Rochester’s historic Senate victory.

Known for his bipartisan approach, Lewis leveraged his cross-party relationships to establish the Congressional Golf Association (CGA), an initiative to foster unity among Members and staff through golf. Under his leadership, CGA has become a significant brand, thriving over the past eight years in promoting collaboration in a divisive political climate.

Outside of his professional commitments, Lewis enjoys traveling, spending time with family, gardening, and outdoor activities. He eagerly embraces new challenges and collaborates to drive business growth. His career has been marked by a passion for success and a commitment to helping others, qualities he is excited to invest in future endeavors.

The American Bus Association serves a thriving industry that provides nearly 600 million passenger trips annually on charters, tours, scheduled service, and shuttles. Membership in ABA includes motorcoach operators, tour operators, tourism-related organizations, and products and service suppliers.
