Privacy Policy

This privacy policy tells you about the information we may collect from you when you engage with ABA. It is designed to be in compliance with the principles and provisions espoused in all applicable federal, state and international data protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In collecting this information, we are acting as a data controller and are required to provide you with information about us, about why and how we use your data, and about the rights you have over your data. Social Media Policies

The use of social media is an interactive way to share information and engage with others. However, it does present risks and carries great responsibilities with those that use it in all capacities. To help ABA staff, and subsidiaries use social media responsibly, ABA adopted the following rules and policies.

ABA Virtual Programs Code of Conduct

The American Bus Association is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants and ABA staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, ABA staff members, service providers, and all others are expected to abide by this Virtual Programs Code of Conduct. This Policy applies to all ABA meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than ABA but held in conjunction with ABA events, on public or private platforms.

ABA Policy on Warrantless Bus Searches

The Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), in a memo, dated Jan. 28, 2020, acknowledged that legally they do not have the right to board buses without approval of the bus company. ABA has revised its policy to reflect that change.

The American Bus Association serves a thriving industry that provides nearly 600 million passenger trips annually on charters, tours, scheduled service, and shuttles. Membership in ABA includes motorcoach operators, tour operators, tourism-related organizations, and products and service suppliers.
