#3017: FMCSA Update

Speaker: Loretta Bitner

Description: In this session, get a sense of what new regulations the Agency has put in place in 2018 and get an opportunity to directly address our regulators as they set out the top priorities for the Agency in the coming year. So many items to review, from the implementation of the Electronic Logging Devices, the evolution of the lease and interchange rule to the emergence of autonomous vehicles. Stay up to date on the future direction of our industry’s enforcement.

#3018: Changing Viewpoint, How the Evolution of  Electronic Camera-based Mirror Systems Change the Way We See Things

Speaker: Panel

Description: Rear-view mirrors have been required on buses since the late 1970s. Now, through there are efforts underway to update and modernize the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and FMVSS 111 (rear visibility) to allow for the introduction of camera-based systems to aid in driver visibilty of the road. Find out how these systems work, how to maintain them and how close they are to being introduced into operational service on motorcoaches.

Take these conversations back to your garage/shop and workshop additional solutions for future BusMARC meetings.
