Driver Coaching for Safe Driving for Winter Conditions, Plus Maintenance Considerations
When winter weather arrives, it presents a big challenge for professional CMV drivers due to the size and weight of their vehicles. Many CMV drivers have also had a considerable amount of time off due to the pandemic and shifting travel demand. This session will cover a discussion with motorcoach operators as well as the motorcoach manufacturers on some winter driving tips that will help keep drivers and passengers safe and warm. The session will also touch on some maintenance tips ranging from tire inflation to proper chain application. ABA and BISC will also unveil a few new tools to help operators determine when and where chains are appropriate.
