Session Information |Thought Leadership: Level Up Your Voice Through Social Media

Women in Buses Wednesday | Join Zoom Meeting
Monthly Every First Wednesday at 2 PM ET

In today’s digital world, employees at all levels must utilize their voices to lead the industry down the right path. C-suite executives, presidents, directors and program managers, must become the employee of tomorrow by way of thought leadership and employee advocacy through the use of social media. According to Edelman’s Trust Barometer, we’re living in an era of constant distrust. The growth of social media platforms has shifted people’s trust from large organizations to small networks of peers and experts, with 63% of people trusting others like themselves. As a result, employee advocacy has become a crucial tool in helping bus operators remain visible, relevant and heard.  In search for savings, policy advocacy funds are often first to get cut, therefore, we must train ourselves and our employees to become the voice of the company and help build the industry’s story.  This session will be a training to “level up” your social media, focusing on LinkedIn. Attendees will learn four steps: How (resources), What (message, format, story), When (cadence) and Return (engaging with comments).
