Session: Checking in with Driving Force, Recruiting New Motorcoach Drivers, Addressing Driver Shortage Speaker: Erin Ducharme, Adam Hall, Pam Martinez, James Blain, Brent Maitland Driving Force is a program designed by members involved with Women in Buses to tackle the nationwide motorcoach driver shortage by providing industry operators tools and tips to recruit and retain their most valuable asset: Drivers. Driving Force recently completed a driver shortage survey, whose results they will share. They also have a host of new toolkits as well as upcoming events to help empower operators to put their best foot forward when recruiting new drivers. |

Lunch Speaker: Driver Training, Setting Up a Driving Range Speaker: Mark Syzperski With the new ELDT Regulations now in place, driver training is more than “The Charlie Method”, meaning “Go with Charlie and he will show you the ropes”. There are specific items that will be required, including classroom/theory training, a skills course, and on the road driving. This session will cover those, including the skills course set up. Our presenter, Mark L Szyperski has been doing driver training programs for over 35 years, and will share his experiences both with driver training programs in the past, as well as his experiences with the ELDT program. He is on the Federal Registry of trainers and is President/CEO of On Your Mark Transportation, LLC, a consulting firm for Motorcoach, School Bus, Transit, and Luxury Transportation Systems. |

Speaker: Mike LaPonte The National Transportation Safety Board is one of the agencies that initiates a post-accident investigation following a fatal accident and makes recommendations to the industry as well as the government on what steps can be taken to avoid similar accidents in the future. What lessons can we learn from recent fatal motorcoach and school bus crashes? Find out at the next presentation by the NTSB. |

Speaker: Greg Hendricks Finding the next generation of drivers is a concern for many operators, particularly when the feds, your state, country or school district may have differing requirements. Get a rundown of how to conduct the pre-employment screening process and what resources are available to you. Also learn about the types of documentation you should be using for the driver qualification process and some best practices to get a driver up to speed on how you want things done at your company. How and when should you be running your queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse? Utilizing this new blueprint for success may help your business and help you find the drivers that you desire. |

Session: FMCSA Update & Entry Level Driver Training Lessons Learned Peer-to-Peer Sharing Speaker: Loretta Bomgardner, Danielle Smith, Peter Chandler, Daniel Woodruff In this session, get a sense of what new regulations the Agency has put in place in 2022 and get an opportunity to directly address our regulators as they set out the top priorities for the Agency for the remainder of this year. During this session there will be many items to review, from the implementation of ELDs and the retirement of the 3G network, the status of the drug and alcohol clearinghouse or entry level driver training provider registry, to the emergence of autonomous vehicles. Stay up to date on the future direction of our industry’s enforcement directly from our regulator. |

Session: TSA Update Speaker: David Cooper With more and more vehicle-involved terror attacks happening around the world, eliminating soft targets and boosting preparedness is key. The Transportation Security Administration has some best practices and guidance to help you better prepare your motorcoach operations for an unexpected emergency and how to respond. They also have some timely updates, critical resources and key intelligence to help you prepare for the months ahead. In addition, cyber security threats and resources will be discussed. Updates will also be provided on the mandatory security training rule, and other security rulemakings. |

Session: ##### Safety Directors 101 ##### Driver File Workshop & Audit Prep Speaker: Mike McDonal Being audit safe isn’t complicated. Our first offering in a new series of sessions, specially designed for brand new fleet managers, safety directors, transportation professionals and even company owners. This session should help you understand the basics of what goes into preparing and organizing your driver files. What types of materials you will need to retain, how to document certain processes and how to make it easy to navigate, so that an audit goes smoothly when it is your first time. After this session, you should be well on your way to being audit ready every day. |
